Feeling sorry for myself

I'm having a bad day. I've just heard from the dentist that there's some problem with the lab work on my latest round of crowns and I have to add in an extra appointment on Monday. I was getting pretty fed up with it all already. I first talked about this work last August and had the original repair work done to the 'foundations' just before Christmas, so I'm starting to drag now.

I've been trying to add up how long I've sat in the chair during the last six months but I've lost count. I still had four appointments left to do, at two and a half hours each, before they came up with the extra one. I don't actually know what's involved in the extra visit. It might be a step back, or it could help clear up something and make things faster. I don't know.

I just know that I've got to the stage where I wish it was all over.

Going to go and sulk for a while..........

It's awful when things drag on like that. It will all be over eventually and hopefully worth it. :)

Take a bottle and a good book with you ...

Go out and buy yourself something - just for you. Something that you really, really want but haven't bought yet. Or, go for a long walk and count your blessings.

Oh sorry to hear it's all taking longer than you thought. Maybe the extra appointment is just to check some details of your mouth/teeth out. Hopefully it won't delay things too much. Hang in there AJ, you are well on the way now. Sulking is allowed in this case. As is treating yourself to something that you don't normally do(if possible). You deserve a reward for getting this far. Plus just for being you. xx

Anything to do with going to the dentist really sucks. Not surprised you're feeling cross. I hope you feel better soon.

Whilst I'm not that keen on going to the Dentist, I can appreciate the frustration (and pain) of having to go fairly frequently over a long period of time. Sorry, but, when it's all done, you'll feel a milliom dollars, I sincerely hope!
Here's wishing you a great weekend,

Sandie xx

I'm telling ya!
Dentist are Satin's handymen.
They were put on earth for one thing.
Torture us. Long and painful torture.
If not physical pain, then torture of the mental kind. We should file a class action suit against dentist.
Pain and suffering and years of turmoil. To think that they charge us for it too. Crazy!

Since most of what you write is upbeat and informative and fun, I would say that you are more than entitled to sulk a little. And who wouldn't? Not too much longer, just keep telling yourself that. It will be so worth it!

Oh dear, I do hope that things won't be as bad as they seem right now. I always think dental visits are so
draining on the spirits especially when you have to have complicated work done. Take care:)

Oh, Poor AJ! I DO sympathize! My husband had a round of crowns, bridges and root canals last year, 14 appointments in all! Our dentist is VERY clever and a really really nice man , but.....! Keep your eyes on the prize, AJ- if you can. I HOPE you can. We are all cheering for you:-)

The dentist really is a drag. Nobody likes going. It is just so literally "in your face". I hope all the appointments are over soon and you are going to be happy with the results!
